Objective
This project addresses the need for a flexible approach to the analysis of vocational training needs and the delivery of flexible training to staff in SMEs with responsibility for the management and administration of export activity.
The main aim of the tri-national partnership is to develop a vocational language training and assessment package, consisting of a set of generic standards, and which will include skills analysis, a cost-effective language learning strategy, an assessment mechanism and an element which will enable the SME to carry out a cost-benefit analysis of the learning and assessment programme. The product will be produced initially in English, German and Spanish.
Impact
The main impact will be on the beneficiaries: employers and employees within SMEs which will generally have very little in the way of a training infrastructure but who will require a cost-effective and time-efficient approach to language learning in order to continue to develop their businesses and move into export activity.
