Objective
With the introduction of telematics instruments in society, forms of communication and access to information are changing rapidly. Training centres are also affected by rapid technological developments, and there is a consequent need for changes in training methods.
The project's aim is to pilot new teaching methods based on ODL using telematic technologies. The partners intend to demonstrate how new forms of communication can increase the quality of training and respond to training needs in a flexible manner. The training will be made available through the Internet, videoconferences and ISDN.
Impact
The project will increase the effectiveness of distance learning and the quality of educational systems. It will cut costs for students who would otherwise have to commute, and widen the range of users of training by facilitating access for workers, disabled people, etc.
