Objective
European integration and the total opening of markets not only have economic implications, but they also concern the entire educational system. In the context of lifelong learning, it is therefore essential to develop common certification of training across borders. This project aims to improve the quality and capacity of continuing vocational training systems and agreements in member states.
More specifically, it will:
- develop and pilot a service quality control programme for European schools, drawing on ISO 9000, EN 45000 and ISO 100011;
- design and test a vocational skills certification process which would be valid in various European countries;
- use the Internet and computer conferencing for the organisation and management of the project and the dissemination of results.
Impact
The project will lead to an improvement in the quality of school's vocational training services. It will also bring about changes in training methodologies and the way certification is organised.
