Objective
The tourism sector requires professionals who are able to communicate using specific tourism language. Multimedia systems are an innovative medium for vocational language learning. This project has been created in order to improve the standard of foreign language teaching in this area.
The partners will develop foreign language courses in Italian and German that are specifically tailored for the tourism industry. The courses will be produced on CD-Rom and on the Internet, which together provide a user-friendly learning environment. It will be possible to use the material alone or with help from a tutor. The beneficiaries of the project will be students on work placements, operators in the tourism industry, trade associations, and students and teachers of more than 70 schools that are members of Eurhodip (European Hotel Management Diploma).
Impact
