New games - New rules

Objective

To increase their competitiveness in the European market the Danish electicity industry is undertaking a structural reorganisation. This project aims to address the impact this will have on management and work organisation in the national/transnational companies concerned by setting up a scheme of management. This will involve employee involvement in the definition of training strategies and promote the development, testing and delivery of skills training programmes.

The project partnership will appoint facilitators/tutors responsible for training needs analysis within the participating companies and for translating these into training specifications. Training modules will be developed to include strategic competence development, educational planning, communication and dialogue, pedagogical project management, interviewing, involvement and delegation. The modules will be in English and in the working language of the company. Training methods will include action learning, project work and master classes, they will support guided learning, autonomous and semi-autonomous learning approaches. Accompanying training manuals will be produced in printed format and on PC compatible diskettes.

Impact
The project will promote transnational understanding of new vocational requirements within the electricity industry, the development of a participatory system of job profile definition and the creation of flexible needs based skills training programmes.
