Objective
This pilot project is concerned with the development of training methods and tools to enable companies in the audiovisual and multimedia sector to deal with changes in communication and information technologies. Workers in this creative sector need information resources to be able to research and plan their production projects quickly and efficiently. The objective of this project is, therefore, to transform the wealth of existing information and resources into a useful tool for audiovisual and multimedia workers.
The partners will develop three main products. The first will be a multimedia prototype archive building methodology, for use on the internet. This will comprise sample documents on given subjects, a cognitive map of related subjects, a motor search engine, a text analysis tool and a multilingual dictionary of key words. The second product will be a creative writing tool on CD-ROM in English and Italian. It will stimulate the user to associate ideas with texts, images and videos during the script-writing process. The third product will be a trainers manual on the topic of creative writing. It will provide specific information on the needs of audiovisual and multimedia workers.
Impact
This project will promote access to training and information support by audiovisual and multimedia workers.
