Objective
Vocational careers guidance information for university students is spread amongst a range of institutions. There is therefore a need to centralise all information on transnational mobility, academic courses abroad and professional opportunities in foreign enterprises.
The main objective of the project is to provide relevant and up-to-date information for graduates and university students through the creation of an international network of careers guidance and documentation centres. The information to be centralised will be on the following themes : exchange grants and programmes; university courses abroad; language courses; European company placements; and national/foreign employment opportunities.
Each of the careers guidance and documentation centres involved will set up an assessment service for university students. They will employ an expert in professional assessment, who will : guide users on job opportunities at EU level; give advice to users on the best way to prepare curriculum vitae; and provide information on the labour market conditions in other EU countries. Each centre will have two touch screen computers, through which users will have free access to the centre's database and links to other relevant databases.
Video conferences and regular meetings with all partners will be organised at every stage of the project in order to review progress. A regular newsletter on the project will be disseminated via the internet.
Impact
This project will promote the mobility of university students/graduates, and prepare them for professional life.
