Objective
The aim of this pilot project is to improve the professional qualification and competence of people working or wishing to work in communication and advertising, and specifically on information campaigns to combat drug addiction.
The partners will research and develop an interactive computer-based training method that will give communication and advertising professionals direct access to reliable sources of drug-related information. An open and distance learning programme, including a CD-ROM, will be produced in Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. To do this, the partners will create two transnational working groups, each including two experts in the fields of drug abuse and communication, who will be responsible for developing the programme contents and collaborating on the internal evaluation process. Fifth year university students and professional journalism associations will also be involved in the evaluation process
Impact
The products developed by this project will be a useful tool for training advertising and communication professionals specialised in drug addiction. It will have a positive impact on employment, as specific drug-related information sections should be created in the media, which will increase the demand for communication and marketing professionals with an expertise in drug addiction.
