Objective
The idea of increasing training flexibility is becoming more and more common to improve training planning and to meet the numerous market demands. This pilot project aims to create and test an interactive multimedia tool to renew educational organisation procedures. These procedures include such areas as pupil and trainer planning, use of space and educational tools, and the choice of training itineraries.
FLEX-VET will begin by creating an interdisciplinary team made up of specialists in the social sciences and of experts in new training technology. This team will be responsible for making an inventory of all innovative training experiments undertaken across the European Union. They will then draw up a comparison chart and use it to compare and propose a theoretical model of organisation, accompanied by a computer programme to apply it. Next they will check that the model is compatible with the skills of the trainers. Finally, they will test the computer programme and make any necessary changes.
Organising discussion sessions on the proposed model will facilitate the validation and distribution of results.
Impact
This pilot project will make trainers' jobs easier and will create individual training courses for students, with the possibility of completing this course independently of training and long-distance centres.
