Objective
With the integration of Hungary in the EU there is a need to ensure that, in the educational field, training schemes meet European standards. This project is a continuation of a study carried out jointly by the French and Hungarian partners into vocational training systems carried out from 1994 to 1997 with a view to developing training programmes. Process control, with its impact on costs, standards and productivity levels, was identified as an area for continuing co-operation.
The current project provides for the phased development of a practical skills training programme for control engineers. Following needs analysis carried out among targeted companies, training requirements will be determined and used in programme design. This will include methodology, evaluation and testing methods and materials. The partners will also define training materials and equipment - user manuals, course documents, audiovisual documents and teaching aids and give specifications for the design and development of training stations for practical work in process control.
The training course and all materials and equipment will be tested in Hungary with partners from EU member states. The partners will provide regular updates on technological changes and cooperate to incorporate these into the training programmes.
Impact
The project will lead to enhanced vocational training in Hungary, strengthen links between training establishments and industry and encourage further co-operation between the partners.
