Objective

It is proposed to design construct and operate a 25 MWe net power station featuring biomass storage and handling, a circulating fluidized bed boiler and a steam turbine. The primary fuel is poultry litter and wastes from food, agricultural and forestry operations. The generated power is supplied to the grid (200 GWh) under NFFO rules. The ash is sold as fertilizer. The innovative aspects are related to the combination of poultry litter and other biomass firing in a circulating fluidized bed boiler.
