Study of sheet steel materials with a view to investigating the possibilities of recycling

Objective

Sheet Steels surfaces and inclusion of poison components by iron and steel metallurgy contribute to make their using by foundry very difficult. Nowadays these problems are more and more frequent which entails necessity to master the influence of those elements, indeed even to eliminate them before their using. The entreprise field interested in this project is really large: some casters (foundrymen), metallurgists and scrap merchants has already shown their interest. The proposed research programme then consists of the study of materials contained in the sheet steels with a view to defining possibilities of recycling. The programme turns of two main axes:
- clear up, from a study, the influence of certain materials in the sheet steels and particularly the titanium one. Evaluate their influences. - Carry out testing pilote project. Tests will be made on industrial sites to study the influence of those materials and particularly the titanium one.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
