Objective Bio climatic design principles help significantly to reduce primary energy consumption in the buildings. However there is a lack of bio climatic design applications in massive building constructions. A reason for this is the lack of ready to use industrially prefabricated materials and components to assist the application of common techniques used to enhance bio climatic building behaviour in conjunction with the appropriate architectural design methodologies. The goal of the present research is to design and built prototypes of building materials and components which will assist either used individually or, preferably, in a well designed system, the application of bio climatic principles in, ideally, a wide range of buildings. Research results are expected to release a huge potential of bio climatic applications in the building sector. Moreover the impact on the social, economic and EU policies objectives is expected to be high and positive.
