Objective
TACOS-INFRASTRUCTURE aims to establish a novel infrastructure for monitoring the carbon balance of European ecosystems. We will integrate the existing atmosphericCO2 measurements made by European laboratories at 35 stations, and the existing flux towers measurements from 19 sites into a unified network. For atmospheric measurements, this implies the set-up of a calibration programme to monitor intercom arability among different laboratories. For flux tower measurements, this implies the set up-of an online data transmission system, which includes archiving, quality control and accessibility. Both atmospheric and flux tower measurements will be made available to end users on a common data center.
