Probabilistic Safety Assessment (PSA) and Risk-informed Decision Making

Objective

Preparation, organisation and execution of a 5 days lasting EUROCOURSE -2000 on Nuclear Safety as a follow-up action to the EUROCOURSE -99,and as a step towards developing and consolidating a series of similar courses in the 5th and subsequent RTD Framework Programmes, aiming at providing an appropriate platform for training actions and know-how transfer, and for contributing to the preservation of competence in this field. EUROCOURSE-2000, organised by GRS-Garching, will be dealing with "probabilistic Safety Assessment (PSA) and Risk-informed Decision Making (PSARID)". The course programme is structured in 23 lectures covering the fundamentals, state-of-the-art and prominent applications of PSA methodologies, and the utilisation of PSA results for risk-informed decision making, well known experts primarily from the EU member countries will be charged with preparing and presenting the lectures.
