Objective CONDICOMP will be a novel and revolutionary control system for composite materials processing, which consists of:a) a durable dielectric sensor capable of monitoring the material state;b) material state modelling expressed by the relationship of dielectric properties to the material state;c) an on-line dielectric monitoring system suitable for industrial use;d) the material-state based control algorithm and;e) the fabrication of components where the material-state based control system guides the material properties through a predefined path.The main project outputs will be:1) the material-state based process control in composites manufacturing capable of reducing scrap by 20%;2) the dielectric monitoring system capable of reducing the process cycle by 25% and;3) the novel dielectric sensor for monitoring material state in production capable of characterising accurately and reproducibly the material state.
