High efficiency forming technology of light weight mmc components for automotive and household applications

Objective

The Powder Metallurgically processed AlSiNi-alloys having excellent mechanical and thermal properties will be used in manufacturing light weight products for auto- motive, aeronautic and household purposes. The project allows sustainable development through reduction of material content of products, uses innovative, cleaner and low natural resource intensity processes, develops new methods to reduce time- to-market and improves the use of human resources by applying computer aided engineering tools. Exploitation of the results will be done arranging three Industrial Symposiums during the project. Several technical reports and articles for scientific public- actions will be prepared. Technology implementation Plan (TIP) will be worked out during the project.
