Objective
The aim of the project is to valorize the geothermal resource produced by two old wells to be recovered in order to exploit 15-20 m³/h of hot water at 60°C. The combined utilization of the brine will be different depending on the spa season. The water will be used for building heating, manufacturing of sanitary hot water and to ensure the base load of a laundry with 10 T/day. The main positive environmental impact will be the discharge of water at lower temperature in the Dordogne river.
The well Choussy II has been recovered has expected, recased with a mixed production casing (300 mm and 500 mm) and cemented to prevent fresh water to enter into the well. The production tests are successful with a total flowrate of 30 m³/h at 60°C
The main works consist in the recovery of two old wells:
- deepening of well Choussy down to 84 m, setting a casing 9" 5/8 cemented and adapted to the high temperature.
- reconditioning of the well Perriere with a new casing 9" 5/8.
The work over wil allow to produce 24h/24h the minimum of 15 m³/h, necessary to ensure the heating requirements of the installations.
Three main uses are planned:
- heating of the building 8 months per year,
- production of sanitary hot water for 60 dwellings equivalent during 7 months per year,
- preheating of laundry water during 10 months/year with 100 m³ of thermal water.
The innovative part of the project is linked to the combined uses and cascade design which will permit the discharge of cooled water at 20°C in the environment.
