Objective

The objective is to develop a technology for large scale propagation of plantain in vitro, using a Temporary Immersion Bioreactor (TIB) system. The expected output is biological optimisation, lower cost production and better survival rate during acclimatization. Ecological, genetic and physiological traits of the produced plants will be characterized. Technology transfer from Europe to the developing partner countries in Latin America.
