ONLINE MULTIMEDIA INFORMATION FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION

Objective

OMIMO will prepare the specification and design aspects a demonstrator of a maintenance documentation system for a commercial turbo-fan aircraft engine. The system will provide on-site delivery to maintenance operations of documentation for the maintenance of the engine, integrated with telematic functions such as queries and videoconferencing with support organizations. In demonstrating applications, the database will be self-contained while enabling development within the constraints of the project. Improvements in aircraft maintenance resulting from OMIMO will reduce costs, enhance safety, and lead to increased efficiency for the aircraft and airline industries.
