Generalised integrals in harmonic analysis and in real analysis

Objective

This research project is concerned with certain fields in analysis such as the theory of integrals, harmonic analysis, and the theory of orthogonal series.

In particular, the aims of the project are to develop a unified approach to solutions of the problem of recovering coefficients of orthogonal series from their sums by generalised Fourier formulas, including the case of multi-dimensional trigonometric, Walsh and other systems of characters of compact abelian groups; to investigate properties and applications of non-absolute integrals introduced for the above problem, in particular Henstock-Kurzweil type of integrals; to extend estimates of weak type to maximal functions defined by generalised integrals; to make progress in the problem of uniqueness of representation of functions including characterisations of sets of uniqueness for certain orthogonal systems.
