Objective
The four collaborating institutions will provide new and fundamental data which will enable a detailed understanding of the role of hydrogen in CIS. This will be achieved through an extensive coordinated experimental study with strong theoretical support. The project will produce valuable data relating to the incorporation of hydrogen into the absorber layers of photovoltaic devices, and could provide a novel route which will lead to the production of exceptionally efficient thin-film solar cells based on CuInSe2 and CuInxGa1-xSe2.
