Objective
In the project the interaction of laser radiation with rubidium atomic beam and rubidium vapour in gas cell will be investigated both theoretically and experimentally applied to onboard atomic frequency standards. The breadboards of discriminators and laser systems will be developed and investigated. As a result it is expected that the methods of laser pumping will improve the stability of atomic frequency standards up to 1x10-14 per day. The new physical phenomena of coherent population trapping will be investigated in order to estimate the possibility of frequency stability improvement of rubidium gas cell standard up to 1x10-14 and better.
