Obiettivo

An International workshop on the study of the interaction of Terahertz (The) radiation with biological systems will be organized. The radiation covers the frequency range between 100 GHz and 20 The (i.e. a wavelength between 3 mm and 15 um), which spans the spectral interval between the microwave and the infrared regions of the electromagnetic spectrum. Topics of the Workshop include:
- spectroscopic measurements on biological systems of increasing complexity
- mechanisms of interaction and effects induced by the electromagnetic field - safety issues - technological developments of terahertz sources and systems for biomedical applications.
