The current project is undertaken as a consequence of an intercomparison made under project no 341 which identified serious difficulties in the analysis of vitamin D.
The aim of the project is to improve the methods for vitamin D in food, through intercomparisons and to certify the content of this vitamin in reference materials prepared under project no 341 (vitamin enriched milk powder, flour, margerine) and Project 406 (lyophilized liver).
The first intercomparison on the determination of vitamin D in margerine and a fortified milk powder should be completed in 1992.
