PV POWER SUPPLY FOR AN INSECT TRAP SYSTEM

Objective

To demonstrate the concept of pv power supply using amorphous silicon modules with modular components and standardized systems.

NAPS FRANCE (ex: CHRONAR France) manufactures amorphous silicon modules. The 11.5 kWp system is supposed to present a typical demonstration project. First it was foreseen to supply the power for a telecom station near Montpellier. This project has been cancelled due to architectural and statics reasons. Now the power supply is used for a project of the ENSAM (Ecole Nationale Superieure Agronomique de Montpellier), near the Agropolis site: an insect capture device (EURAPHID), giving information on the influence of insects on plant protection.
