Objective
After having shown the feasibility of the 'Intervention Time Guarantee' thanks to a remote control system using a satellite transmission, this step had to be adapted to other follow-up, simpler and less expensive.
Some applications require high quality of electric supply, of others are more tolerant. How to obtain such a service guarantee? At which cost? For which uses?
A total of 55 small stand alone PV generators ranging in size from 450 Wp to 4000 Wp are to be installed at remote sites in Aquitaine, Midi-Pyrenees, Languedoc-Roussillon, Corsica, Catalunya, and the Balearic islands. The systems will be installed in small farms, refuges and isolated houses to provide lighting, refrigeration, TV and water pumping. Each site will have a tele-monitoring system which will communicate with the project monitoring centre in Perpignan either by satellite or telephone, transferring operating data and/or alarms in case of operating problems.
