Objective
Feasibility study of a multiplexed streamer with very high number of traces (1500), through realisation of subassemblies.
Waterproof modules: the new VAC assembly provides the following performances:
- total distorsion < 10-4 on a dynamic range of 50 dB
- consumption < 800 mw that is 100mw/channel
- preamplifier-filter model in process of miniaturization measured with following results:
-dynamics > 105 dB
-distorsion < 10-4
Weight reduced boxes:
End of stage III of specifications for the optical fiber transmission. Fabrication of titane boxe containing 2 transmitters and 2 receivers, and realisation of printed circuit : 2 prototypes are being assembled.
Continuous hydrophones :
Measures on new cylindrical hydrophone with acoustic screen following empirical determination of best support and acoustic screen:
- capacity : 60 nF/meter of hydrophone
- sensitivity: 20 V/bar
- sensitivity versus acceleration : < 1mV/g
Important aspects of this streamer are the following :
- Very low traction noise has been obtained by improving the buoyancy balance of the immersed part. This has led to the study : - the weight reduction of boxes containing the electronics and/or the distribution of the electronics along the streamer elements
- the weight reduction and the homogenization of the lineic density of the streamer elements.
- An efficient filtering of residual noises :
- through the utilisation of continuous hydrophones
- by considering their location at the level of the frequency /number of wave (fanshaped filtering).
