Harmonization of European MET Schemes

Objective

i) To contribute to the development of harmonized syllabuses and how those could be implemented
ii) To identify needs for the adaptation of MET programmes to the requirements of the maritime industry
iii) To assess the impact of modern teaching technology on MET
iv) To provide for better understanding of the new STCW Convention and suggest a harmonized approach to the meeting of the Convention requirements
v) To enhance the employability and facilitate the professional mobility on MET graduates within the maritime industry and within European countries
vi) To increase the competitiveness of the European maritime industry by helping to improve the qualifications of seafarers and other maritime personnel
