Objective

The proposal is the manufacturing, installation and operation of five 1.5MW wind turbines (Nordtank). The turbines are based on the newly developed prototype, presently being tested in Denmark. The wind farm shall be located on a rough terrain in Scotland near the Atlantic coast. The annual wind speed at the site is 8.5m/s at hub height (60m). Measurements similar to the ones of the prototype to compare loads in different climatic conditions.
