Objetivo
The aim of the project is to provide the ICAEN and the ADEME with the structure necessary to carry out a significant number of feasibility studies for solar heating systems for the production of sanitary hot water in tourist establishments, principally hotels and camp-sites. The objective is to elaborate a methodology and prove it in a umber of case studies: 50 in Catalonia and 30 in the South of France. The specific objective are as follow:
- to create an offer of solar thermal energy systems for hotels which can be compared to those of conventional energy sources
- to gauge the degree of interest of the tourist industry in such technologies
- to make solar thermal energy more accessible to the hotel industry
- to facilitate access on the part of solar energy equipment and installation companies to the collective services of tourist establishments
The main actions to be carried out are:
- Development of a strategy to select the tourist establishments in each region
- Creation of a standard model for the feasibility studies, a methodology that will be accepeted and adopted by all the involved parties. All the sites will be studied under this standard model
- Definition and implementation of the structure necessary to carry out a significant number of feasibility studies
- Development of the first 25 stuides in Catalonia and 15 in France
- Revision and improvement of the methodology and the implemented structure
- Development of the rest of studies in Catalonia anf France
- General balance of the project: conclusions and observations
