DELIGNIFICATION AND BLEACHING WITH HYDROGEN PEROXIDE

Cel



THE OBJECTIVE OF THE PROPOSED RESEARCH CONSISTS OF THE IMPROVEMENT OF H202 PERFORMANCE AS A BLEACHING AGENT OF MECHANICAL PULPS AND AS A DELIGNIFYING AGENT OF CHEMICAL PULPS.

THE RESEARCH WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING POINTS :
- DETERMINATION OF THE OPTIMUM BLEACHING CONDITIONS OF MECHANICAL PULPS WITH HIGH LEVELS OF PEROXIDE IN AN ALKALINE MEDIUM AT HIGH BRIGHTNESS >80% (EFFECT OF PH, REAGENT INTRODUCTION PROCEDURE, TEMPERATURE, TIME,...)
- ACTIVATION OF HYDROGEN PEROXIDE BY A CHEMICAL PRETREATMENT OR ADDITIVES,
- DETERMINATION OF THE OPTIMUM DELIGNIFICATION CONDITIONS OF CHEMICAL PULPS (KRAFT AND SULPHITE) WITH HYDROGEN PEROXIDE IN AN ALKALINE MEDIUM(EFFECT OF PH, REAGENT INTRODUCTION PROCEDURE, TEMPERATURE, TIME, STABILIZING AGENTS, METAL IONS...)
- ACTIVATION OF HYDROGEN PEROXIDE BY A CHEMICAL PRETREATMENT (ACID TREATMENT) OF ADDITIVES,

- REACTION OF HYDROGEN PEROXIDE WITH THE RESIDUAL LIGNIN OF A CHEMICAL PULP(KINETICS, FORMATIONETICS, FORMATION OF CARBOXYL GROUPS, CLEAVAGE OF LIGNIN CARBOHYDRATE LINKAGES, DEPOLYMERISATION OF LIGNIN).
