Obiettivo TO DEVELOP A WIDE RANGE OF PRODUCTS WITH MARKETABLE POTENTIAL WHICH WILL BE SOLD AT A PROFIT TO GIVE AN ECONOMIC RETURN ON INVESTMENT. A RANGE OF NEW PRODUCTS WILL BE RESEARCHED AND IDENTIFIED. MOULDS WILL BE DESIGNED AND PRODUCTS MOULDED, USING A VARIETY OF FILLERS AND ADDITIVES TO IMPROVE THE STRENGTH OF THE PRODUCT. PARTICULAR EMPHASIS WILL BE PLACED ON USING PET BOTTLES AS ADDITIVES. DEVELOPMENT WORK WILL BE CARRIED OUT TO DEVELOP STRUCTURAL FOAMED PRODUCTS, USING FOAMING AGENTS TO PRODUCE LIGHTER BUT STIFFER PRODUCTS AND THUS REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF MATERIAL USED, WHICH INCREASES THE PRODUCTION OUTPUT. THE PRODUCTION PROCESSES WILL BE FURTHER DEVELOPED TO INCREASE EXTRUDER OUTPUT, HANDLE DIFFICULT MIXED MATERIALS AND PRODUCE CONSISTENT QUALITY. MICROPROCESSOR CONTROL WILL BE IMPROVED AND AUTOMATIC OPERATION OF THE PROCESS WILL BE REDESIGNED. HANDLING AND TRANSPORTATION OF FILM, FLAKE, LUMPS, PELLETS, GRANULES AND ADDITIVES AND SUBSEQUENT MIXING WILL BE IMPROVED TO INCREASE THE EFFICIENCY. TO INCREASE THE ADDED VALUE OF THE BASIC MOULDED PRODUCT, A COATING PROCESS WILL BE DEVELOPED AND IMPROVED. THIS WILL ALLOW THE DEVELOPMENT OF A FURTHER RANGE OF COLOURED PRODUCTS USING MIXED COLOURS OF WASTE FEEDSTOCK, BUT PRODUCING A SINGLE COLOURED PRODUCT BY COATING. THIS WILL ELIMINATES THE SORTING OF THE RAW MATERIAL BY SEPARATE COLOUR WHERE ONE SPECIFIC COLOUR IS REQUIRED AS AN END PRODUCT. METHODS OF PRINTING BY HOT FOIL STAMPING WILL BE IMPROVED, AND NEW AND IMPROVED FIXING METHODS WILL BE DEVELOPED. FRICTION WELDING AND UHF WELDING WILL BE USED TO IMPROVE FIXING METHODS AND CONSIDERABLE RESEARCH WILL BE CARRIED OUT TO IDENTIFY AND SECURE A SUITABLE GLUEING METHOD FOR THERMOPLASTICS.
