FURTHER INVESTIGATIONS ON NEW WORKING FLUID SYSTEMS FOR ABSORPTION HEAT PUMPS.

THE OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT IS TO CONTINUE THE SEARCH OF NEW WORKING FLUID SYSTEMS FOR ABSORPTION HEAT PUMPS, WHICH MAY APPLY ALSO TO HEAT TRANSFORMERS, TO PROVIDE THEIR THERMOPHYSICAL DATA, AND TO TEST SELECTED WORKING FLUID SYSTEMS IN REAL HEAT PUMP CYCLES.

THE R & D WORK HAS CONNECTED TO THE RESEARCH PROJECT PERFORMED UNDER EE-A4-031 " WORKING FLUIDS FOR ABSORPTION HEAT PUMP " IN TWO RESPECTS:
FIRST, IT CONTINUES WITH THE SELECTION AND POINTWISE MEASUREMENT OF NEW FLUID SYSTEM AND TO DO SOME FINALIZING MEASUREMENTS ON THE FLUID SYSTEMS THAT HAVE BEEN MORE THOROUGHLY INVESTIGATED.
SECOND, THE MOST PROMISING FLUID SYSTEMS OF THE ACCOMPLISHED PROGRAM, THE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM TFE-NMP AND THE HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM NH3-LINO3/H2O, ARE TO BE TESTED UNDER OPERATING CONDITIONS IN AN EXPERIMENTAL HEAT PUMP CYCLE.
THE FINALIZING MEASUREMENTS PERTAIN TO NEW FLUID SYSTEMS FOUND IN THE MEAN TIME AND TO MEASUREMENTS OF PHASE-EQUILIBRIUM AND CALORIC PROPERTIES WHICH ARE STILL NEEDED TO DESIGN FURTHER ENTHALPY-CONCENTRATION CHARTS WITH SUFFICIENT ACCURACY.
THE TESTS OF FLUID SYSTEMS IN EXPERIMENTAL HEAT PUMP CYCLES ARE DONE WITH RESPECT TO STABILITY UNDER REALISTIC OPERATING CONDITIONS, I E IN PRESENCE OF THE MATERIALS WHICH SUCH CYCLES USUALLY ARE MADE OF. FURTHERMORE IT IS INTENDED TO GET A PICTURE OF THE CRUCIAL POINTS CONCERNING HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER OF THESE FLUIDS IN THE ELEMENTS OF THE HEAT PUMP CYCLE AND TO FIND OUT WHAT SPECIAL EXPERIMENTS WITH RESPECT TO THIS HAVE TO BE CONDUCTED.
