Objectif To design a floating natural gas liquefaction plant for the economic utilisation of marginal offshore gas fields.The first phase of an approval in principle by a major classification society has been obtained.The floating natural gas liquefaction plant with its components - steel superstructure with process plant and loading system, concrete sub-structure with lng storage tanks, feed gas transfer, mooring system - was designed. Model tests were carried out. Norwegian companies took part in the activities as subcontractors.
