Obiettivo Construction and operation of a plant for electrostatic separation of ash/pyrites from coal. The plant will have a throughput of 5 t /hour and will be equipped with self-cleaning electrodes. The aim is to treat coals mainly for use in coal-water mixtures and it is epxected that a product of 95-98 % purity will be obtained, with an energy recovry of 90 %. It is planned to demonstrate the process on at least 50000 T of coal of varying origin.The plant will be made by 3 electrostatic fields in series and will be a section of the existing plant for the production of coal-water slurry.
