Cel This project consists in measuring subsidence movements induced by pressure changes associated to reservoir depletion in view of evaluating that depletion. These subsurface movements are then converted into reservoir pressure changes versus space and time using a F. E. model of all relevant layers i.e. overburden, reservoir and underburden. Finally this pore pressure map is converted into a permeability map in both reservoir and aquifer.Severe discrepancies are observed between subsidence measurements and simulations. In fact the subsidence remains very small and it is not so easy to extract the influence of the depletion from the raw data. Because of this statement the project was not completely achieved : new levelling methods were not developped and the inverse methods to obtain pore pressure variations and permeability were not completed. However, the levelling survey seems to indicate a fault in the North of the Villeperdue field. The general purpose of this study consists in detecting the closure type (fault, water drive, etc...) of the Villeperdue geological structure (Parisian Basin, France) on the east and north sides. An other connected target is to monitor the injected water front.Phase 1 : Technological studies1. 1 Optical fiber tiltmeter development1. 2 Feasibility study of a horizontal tilt log1. 3 Development of a levelling method using laser interferometry1. 4 Development of numerical inverse methods in order to derive : - pore pressure variations from subsidence measurements - permeability map pore pressure variation mapPhase 2 : Subsidence measurement survey around Villeperdue area2. 1 Positioning of level beacons for IGN (Institut Geographique National) levelling along a 60 km profile - IGN surveys2. 2 Pilot subsidence measurements using new developments described in Phase IPhase 3 : Measurement interpretation3. 1 Selection of geometricalparameters and mechanical properties3. 2 3D numerical simulation of subsidence process3. 3 Physical output interpretation.
