UNMANNED SUBMERSIBLE STATION FOR THE REPAIR OF PIPELINES IN DEEP WATER

Ziel

To design, build and operate an unmanned repair system to repair sealines in deep water.
At the present time the first remarkable result consists in having developed a new metal-to-metalball end connector, two female mating connectors and slip joint (patented) for sealine repairs.
All these products are easily remotely installable. Applications other than for on-bottom sealines, ae foreseen for platform riser connections.
Other applications of the whole system will be evaluated during the test phase scheduled for summer 1987.
The system is modular and is composed of the following sub-assemblies:


- one launch and recovery system

- one d.P. Thruster and power module

- two h - frames

- one pipe preparation and cutting module.

- one end connector and spool replacement module.

- one damaged pipe recovery module.

- one dredge module.

- end connectors and spool piece.
