Objectif Adaptation of the proposers residual oil upgrading process (VCC) to co-processing of residual oil and industrial wastes. The VCC high pressure hydrogenation process is well suited for organic wastes treatment, a pilot plant has been tested with up to 30% wastes in the feed material. This plant is not profitable and is at sub-industrial scale.- Until now (September 92) the new high pressure heat exchanger has been tested over a period of 1,500 hours; too short for an evaluation. However, fouling behaviour seems to be not better in comparison to the previous system probably the reason therefore is depending on construction.- Testing of the new H.P. slurry pump was successful; even under critical conditions (solids content up to 15%) a 100% percent availability could be reached.- Procurement, installation and testing of a new drafted high pressure heat exchanger.- Installation and testing of a new slurry pump.
