Objective Aims of project: To carry out, using data on stress and accidents, a systematic study of the possible uses of handling systems in coal mines, with a view to producing technically feasible and financially viable proposals for improving working conditions. Data processing to interconnect different types of data, and subsequent comparison as part of decision analysis procedures. Simulation of movement sequences using CAD programs and working models. The work will concentrate on devising a systematic approach to determining the fields in which use of handling systems offers good prospects of success, with particular attention being paid to ergonomics and safety.
