Due to language barriers and the fact that only 19% of Europeans are bilingual the Public Transport needs to be innovative and leverage advances in Smart City and Intelligent Transport System technologies to attract more citizens and foreigners to use the Public Transport and facilitate freedom of mobility. To solve this problem we have created ATIP, a smart, energy-autonomous, universal and cost-effective dynamic passenger information system that removes all communication barriers and radically improves freedom-of-movement in public transport across the EU Member States. The innovation lies in the integration of advanced displays and mobile communications that are able to provide real-time information in any chosen language and low-power technologies that allow 24/7 365 days of autonomous power through renewable energy sources.

Our overall objective is to turn ATIP from TRL6 to TRL9 market ready and be able to commercialise it in the international market.
Task 1 – Operational and Technical Feasibility

Identified competences and organisational gaps in the company, and devised a strategy to fill in the gaps with talented people and its impact on our business.

Assessed the technical feasibility of the prototype and resulted that system is innovative and feasible to manufacture and sustain.


Task 2 - In-depth Market Assessment and Commercial Feasibility

Carried out an in-depth Industry and Market Assessment on the market size and trends of the Public Transport (focusing on Public Bus Transport) in all EU countries. It resulted that ATIP serves the market needs and is inline with the market trends.


Task 3 – Financial Feasibility

A financial analysis (cashflow forecast) based on costs, market projections and profit margins, have shown that ATIP is feasible, viable, profitable and sustainable to our business.


Task 4 – Partners Search

We have identified and partnered with Technological and Commercial/Market strategic partners to take ATIP faster to market.


Task 5 – Risk Assessment

We have built an elaborate risk register both for the company and for this project. Mitigation plans were created for each risk.


Task.6 – Work Plan

A 2-year Operating Plan to get TRL6 prototype to TRL9 was created.


Task 7 – Elaborated Business Plan

A full Business Plan containing the findings of the Feasibility Study was compiled.
