Project description
A new leader for Slovenian micro-process engineering and technology
Microfluidics technology for the manipulation of fluid flows in micrometre-sized channels or structures is a rapidly growing field with numerous applications in diagnostics, drug delivery, biosensing, chemical synthesis and more. The University of Ljubljana (UL) is very active in microfluidics research and technology development. The EU-funded COMPETE project will support the team in recruiting a Chair of Micro-Process Engineering and Technology with excellent research credentials and leadership competences. The experienced and renowned leader will bring in funding, develop cooperation with industrial and public research and educational entities and establish a new study field at UL contributing to the university’s recognition as a leading European hub of microfluidics expertise.
