Cultural Data Analytics

Project description

What is the nature of cultural interaction?

What is the nature of cultural interaction, cultural dynamics and cultural evolution in the digital era? The EU-funded CUDAN project will answer this question. With a focus on Estonia, it will harness the existing strengths of Tallinn University to build a new analytical approach (Cultural Data Analytics) that integrates quantitative and qualitative methods. Specifically, the project will work with digitised cultural heritage as well as with born-digital data scraped from contemporary platforms. This aim will be accomplished by establishing the European Research Area Chair position and the transdisciplinary and innovative cooperation platform (Open Lab) at Tallinn University. The project will pave the way for an evidence based and agile response to contemporary challenges.
