e-Society Interconnections Software

Periodic Reporting for period 1 - Roksnet (e-Society Interconnections Software)

Reporting period: 2018-06-01 to 2018-09-30

Our company Roksnet Solutions OÜ, based in Tallinn Estonia, has created the Roksnet e-Society Interconnections Software platform that enables Governments to create a scalable distributed network between an unlimited number of systems for secure data exchange and improve e-Government services to the next level for citizens and businesses. Our novel software is based on the proven DLT technology of Estonia’s X-Road. Our team has more than 15 years of experience in Estonia and Finland. The solution we are offering has made Estonia one of the best functioning e-Societies in the world where almost everything is done digitally. Roksnet offers the same opportunity for everyone globally by offering the platform and StateOS. StateOS is a digital e- and m-service for end users (individuals and SMEs). Through StateOS users will get access to existing government and commercial e-services through single digital gateway. Our novel platform is the new way of getting the private organisations to create innovative public services, using open data and open public services, hence opening new business opportunities. We go a step further, by extending this limitless scalable ecosystem into the operations of private businesses to efficiently and securely connect people, organisations, public institutions, financial institutions, supply chains and smart machines in a unified collaborative economy. Our vision is to be the market leader in e-Society data exchange system, a blue ocean market we created, and see Roksnet spread across the whole globe securely connecting billions of people, entities, institutions and smart machines. Roksnet Solutions carried out a Feasibility Study through H2020 SME Instrument Phase 1 funding. In the study we have analysed and iterated the product through constructive customer development, analysed the local and global market and industry trends, assessed competitive landscape, determined how we can protect our Intellectual Property Rights, assessed business and technological risks, identified organisational gaps, drew a financial plan and a work plan. The outcome is that our solution and business model is possible, feasible, viable, profitable, sustainable and key for our business growth and competitive edge. Roksnet Solutions will continue pursuing this project.
The viability and feasibility of our project was critically analyzed from seven business viewpoints:

1) Operational and Technical Feasibility, including identification of organizational gaps
2) In-dept Market Assessment and Commercial Feasibility
3) Financial Feasibility (Financial Projections)
4) Intellectual Property Rights and protection mechanisms
5) Analysis of the ecosystem including target customers, partners (strategic alliances) and competition
6) Risk Assessment
7) Operational Plan to get StateOS from TRL6 to TRL9 and commercialize it in the international market

A Business Plan was created based on the outcome of each business perspective.

The outcome of this Feasibility Study is that our project is possible, viable, feasible, profitable and sustainable.

The Project is a Go.
Roksnet Solutions has created the Single Digital Gateway that the European Commission has started to push through new regulations. We have developed what the European Commission is seeking and we are already prototyping the technology in Estonia and Finland. Our StateOS platform is scalable and can be implemented across all EU states (GDPR and eIDAS compliant) and across the globe. StateOS adds value to the citizens and businesses through an efficient and secure way of exchanging data. Through user-friendly electronic and mobile services, StateOS makes the lives of billions of citizens easier and more convenient.
