Objective STstent is a device implanted into a patient after FESS (functional endoscopic sinus surgery) to eliminate postoperative complications and revisions surgery. STstent not only improves the quality of life of patients but also reduces significantly costs for healthcare providers. We have been developing STstent since 2013 and the final design has been completed and first-in-man trials have been conducted. The trials showed the device has good therapeutic effectiveness and has minimal risks associated. We now intend to prepare STstent for commercialisation. For this, we need to carry out international clinical studies required for clinical approval and to demonstrate to healthcare providers the effectiveness of the device, as well as scale up the manufacturing process, and tighten our EU IP portfolio. We, STS Medical, were founded in late 2013 by 3 entrepreneurs with the shared vision to improve the quality of life of patients undergoing FESS procedures and improve the sustainability of healthcare worldwide. We boast vast experience in biomaterials, medical devices, quality assurance and regulatory affairs, product development and medical device marketing.
