Project description
Applying exposome paradigm to Cyprus’ gas/oil industry
A critical driver of human health, exposome is a new approach in epidemiological and biomedical research. Taking this new paradigm, researchers in Cyprus are applying it to the oil and gas industry. In this context, the EU-funded EXPOSOGAS project will substantially increase the capacity of its widening institution in Cyprus by advancing its research capacity in health sciences applied to oil/gas activities based on the Exposome paradigm in the Eastern Mediterranean (EM). The project will improve scientific knowledge transfer of occupational and environmental public health issues, improve relationships with local and regional stakeholders, and develop training and capacity building resources for current Cyprus staff and students in Exposome research.
