Project description
Immersive video for car and drone applications harnessing AI and 5G mmWave technology
Real-time video streaming enabling immersive video content merging the physical view with digital data can play an important role in control, performance and safety when it comes to fast-moving cars and aerial drones. Achieving it requires ultra-high data rate services and global operability. The EU-funded PriMO-5G project will demonstrate an end-to-end 5G system providing immersive video services for moving objects focused on vehicular and aerial drone settings. The system leverages AI-assisted communications and 5G mmWave technology, a revolutionary cellular technology accessing massive bandwidth once thought impossible to achieve. Cross-continental testbeds will ensure interoperable 5G core networks.
