Project description
Novel biodegradable and stimuli-responsive encapsulation for delivery of active ingredients
The efficient, effective and sustainable preparation and delivery of bioactive materials will help Europe meet its targets related to chemicals use while enhancing the health and safety of its citizens. Encapsulation is a way to transport active ingredients, but it faces certain challenges, particularly when the cargo is liquid. With the support of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions programme, the SAMCAPS project will create and coordinate a training network focused on the development of self-assembled, biodegradable and stimuli-responsive polymeric microcapsules for the targeted delivery of active ingredients in home and beauty products.
