We Value Nature

Project description

Ensuring European businesses value nature

Our limited natural ecosystems are precious and must be valued under the green economy. The EU Valuing Nature Programme (EU-VNP) and EU Valuing Nature Network of Networks (EU-VNN) work to unravel our understanding of the complexities of the natural environment in valuation analyses, and to define the value of nature also in economic terms. In this context, the aim of the EU-funded EU-VNP-Net project is to establish, support and energise an EU-VNN and EU-VNP priorities. It will build synergies and collaborations among relevant existing and emerging networks, accelerate mainstreaming, operationalisation of natural capital (NC) by businesses across the EU, as well as the NC accounting (NCA), nature-based solutions (NBS) and green infrastructure (GI) to achieve change in decision-making in favour of sustainable, green economy.
