Project description
Offering access to European electron microscopy facilities
Electron microscopy constitutes a powerful approach for characterisation at the atomic scale, extending beyond basic cell visualisation to the analysis of novel materials in physical, chemical and biological sciences. The EU-funded ESTEEM3 initiative is an ongoing European project that provides transnational access for the scientific community to the leading European state-of-the-art electron microscopy research infrastructures. Access is granted through a simple peer review process, and users are supported in terms of protocols, methodologies and training. Particular emphasis is given to the analysis of materials related to ICT, energy, health and transport.
